Linda has a rich lyric voice and is known for her coloratura and interpretation.

 

Education

Linda Grace read French and Spanish literature at London University and subsequently trained in performing arts at ALRA, London. She studied singing with Alison Wells and Ameral Gunson and in 2013 gained a degree level diploma in classical singing performance. She has attended AIMS International Music School, studying with Theresa Goble, Morag McLaren, John Hancorn, Michael Fields, Steven Rickards and Neil Jenkins. In 2013 she attended the Morley College French Song masterclass series with Hazel Wood, and in 2014 she participated in a three-day masterclass course and lute song recital with Dame Emma Kirkby.

 

Experience

Linda sang with Opera South East (c. Kenneth Roberts) both in the ensemble and as a concert soloist for seven years. Operatic roles have included Kate in the Pirates of Penzance, Mamma Lucia in Cavalleria Rusticana, and 2nd Witch in Dido & Aeneas. Linda has also worked with the Hastings Bach Choir (c. Robert Aldwinckle) and with Lux Aeterna (c. Victor Potter). She has performed many lunchtime concerts and evening recitals of Baroque arias and art songs and contributed to charity concerts. Recent projects include a stage show Baroq: A Cabaret Opera performed with soprano Janet Forbes, Handel's Messiah at All Saints Church, Eastbourne, A Tribute to G.F. Handel: Music from his Operas, a semi-staged concert with four soloists at the Opus Theatre, Hastings, and recordings of a small collection of J.S. Bach's sacred songs in English, using a Snetzler organ c. 1760.
